Square Enix has released another update for Forspoken today bumping the game version to 1.11 and bringing some fixes as seen in the patch notes. The update aims to address technical issues and improve the gameplay experience for players across multiple platforms.
As players eagerly anticipated the release of the update, Square Enix announced that the Microsoft Store version would be updated as soon as the patch is approved. The updated version name will also be displayed on the game’s title screen for each platform.
The release of patch 1.11 comes with a set of patch notes detailing the various fixes and improvements made to the game. Among the key changes is the resolution of an issue where the game crashes in certain scenes or by certain actions, which had previously frustrated many players.
In addition, the patch includes a range of minor fixes aimed at enhancing the gameplay experience for all players. These changes are expected to significantly improve the overall stability and performance of the game, making it more enjoyable to play.
Forspoken Update 1.11 Patch Notes
Technical Issues:
- Fixed an issue where the game crashes in certain scenes or by certain actions.
- Various minor fixes.
Square Enix’s development of Forspoken reportedly cost more than $75 million, making it challenging for the game to break even. Although the game charted in the NPD games list during January, it was below Square Enix’s expectations, and it received a lukewarm reception from critics.
Analysts believe that Square Enix will suffer major losses due to Forspoken’s high investment. Luminous Productions, the developer behind Forspoken, had been planning to work on other projects, including a sequel before being shut down, and now the development team will be redistributed throughout Square Enix, marking the end of Luminous Engine as a tech.
Forspoken is available now for PS5 and PC.
