GTA V Resolution and Frame Rate Listed For PS5 and XSX, Will Support HDR and Ray-Tracing

Rockstar Games has listed the resolution and frame rate for GTA V on the PS5 and Xbox Series X. They have also revealed the release date.

GTA V on PS5 and Xbox Series X is all set to launch on March 15. The game will support ray-tracing and HDR, which was not the case with the original release. In addition to this, the resolution has been confirmed to be 4K while the frame rate will go all the way up to 60 FPS.

Grand Theft Auto V and GTA Online for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S features new graphics modes with up to 4K resolution, up to 60 frames per second, texture and draw distance upgrades, HDR options and ray-tracing, as well as offering the technical advancements of the latest console generation with faster loading times, immersive 3D audio, platform-specific features like advanced haptic feedback, and much more.

Rockstar Games has also confirmed that save data transfer will be supported for both the single-player mode as well as GTA Online. This means if you have a save file for your PS4 and Xbox One copy of the game, you can transfer it over to the PS5 or Xbox Series.

The game is also confirmed to finally arrive on March 15, 2022. Rockstar Games didn’t reveal any information on a potential PC version upgrade since ray-tracing or HDR are not supported in the PC version.

As mentioned before, a standalone release of GTA Online will be available to play at launch as well. It should be free for the first three months to all PlayStation 5 users, while Xbox Series owners have to purchase it. No price was mentioned but judging from the Red Dead Online standalone release, it should launch at $19.99.
