Hogwarts Legacy Rated Mature, Features Online Interactivity & In-Game Purchases

Warner Bros Interactive Entertainment’s Hogwarts Legacy has been rated ‘M’ for Mature by the Australian Classification Board.

In addition to revealing that Hogwarts Legacy has been rated Mature (M), the listing states that the game will feature some form of online interactivity. Developer Avalanche Software has already confirmed in the game’s official FAQ page that it a single player experience and does not have online or co-op gameplay. It’s unclear, then, what this online interactivity could pertain to.

According to the Consumer Advice section in the Details section of the listing, Hogwarts Legacy will include supernatural themes, violence, online interactivity and in-game purchases. With respect to in-game purchases, it is already known that players who bought the Hogwarts Legacy Standard Edition can purchase the Dark Arts Pack in-game separately, which is otherwise available exclusively in the Deluxe Edition. There are no other items for purchase in the game, according to the game’s official FAQ page.

Regarding the mention of online interactivity, it may refer to the mandatory day 1 patch for those who purchase a physical copy of Hogwarts Legacy. Meanwhile, those who purchase the game digitally will receive the patch with the initial download.

Previously, it was revealed that the PS4 and PS5 versions of the game will feature exclusive content not found in the Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S and PC versions for one whole year.

The game is scheduled for release on February 10, 2023 for Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S. The Nintendo Switch version’s release date will be announced at a later time.
