by Salal Awan

Kirby and the Forgotten Land has received a short demo for the Nintendo Switch giving an early overview of its resolution and frame rate.

The game can be played for up to three levels in this new demo which is available to download now. This demo is a pretty good indication of where the final version lies in terms of technical performance. If you were wondering what is the resolution and frame rate of Kirby and the Forgotten Land, give this demo a go to check it out.

If you don’t have the time to check the demo, our friends at VGTech have made a technical analysis of it revealed some interesting stats.

The game appears to render at a dynamic resolution setup on the Nintendo Switch. You get somewhere between 1080p to 810p on the Nintendo Switch. This resolution is for the docked mode where the full power lies for the Nintendo Switch. If you play in portable mode, you are stuck with a dynamic 720p resolution that can drop down to 540p. This setup is quite similar to Super Mario Odyssey, which is also an open-world game like Kirby and the Forgotten Land.

On the positive side of things, the frame rate of the game manages to keep at its 30 FPS target and doesn’t deviate much from it. While it is not 60 FPS like Super Mario Odyssey, the 30 FPS performance is not that bad considering that it doesn’t drop that much.

Kirby and the Forgotten Land will be available on March 25, 2022, for the Nintendo Switch.
