Warner Bros. Games has released a new trailer for the Deluxe Edition of LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight, offering a closer look at the additional content included with the expanded version of the upcoming open world action adventure. The latest footage also confirms that The Joker and Harley Quinn will become playable characters through post-launch content arriving later this year.
Players who pre-order the Deluxe Edition will gain 72-hour early access beginning May 19, ahead of the game’s full launch on May 22. According to Warner Bros. Games, the Deluxe Edition is designed to expand the experience with a variety of cosmetic packs, vehicles, Batcave items, and additional gameplay content inspired by different eras of Batman media.
At launch, Deluxe Edition owners will receive the Legacy Collection, which includes themed content based on the Batman Arkham series, Batman Beyond, and a music-inspired party pack. These additions feature multiple alternate suits for playable characters, including Batman, Robin, Nightwing, Batgirl, Jim Gordon, Catwoman, and Talia al Ghul, as well as themed Batmobiles and decorative Batcave props.
The largest addition arrives in September through the Mayhem Collection. This update introduces a dedicated Mayhem Mode starring The Joker and Harley Quinn as playable characters, each equipped with their own gadgets, combat abilities, and takedown animations. The content also includes a new story mission centered on the pair escaping Arkham Asylum and causing chaos throughout Gotham City.
Additional downloadable content included in the Mayhem Collection will add more suits, Batcave decorations, and another Batmobile variant for use in the game’s open world environment.
Developed by TT Games, LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight draws inspiration from decades of Batman films, television shows, comics, and games while combining them with the humor and style associated with LEGO adaptations. The title launches for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X and Series S, and PC through Steam and the Epic Games Store. A Nintendo Switch 2 version is also planned for release later in 2026.
