CI Games SE has secured €28.6 million in syndicated financing to fund the completion, marketing and launch of Lords of the Fallen II. The credit facility was arranged by Erste Bank Polska and Bank Ochrony Środowiska, covering the company’s remaining financing requirements ahead of the game’s planned release in the first quarter of 2027. The agreement will also allow CI Games to refinance all of its existing bank debt.
According to the company, the financing has been secured without issuing new shares, meaning existing shareholders will retain their full participation in the game’s potential commercial success. CI Games President Marek Tyminski said the agreement reflects the banks’ confidence in the project and its commercial prospects.
The financing structure includes a guarantee from KUKE, Poland’s export credit agency, covering 80% of the facility. The loan matures in August 2027 and is expected to be repaid primarily through sales of Lords of the Fallen II following its release. Tyminski, who is also the company’s largest shareholder, has committed to retaining his entire shareholding throughout the financing period.
The sequel follows Lords of the Fallen (2023), which sold more than 2.5 million copies and reached over 8 million players across PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. CI Games is targeting the first quarter of 2027 for the next instalment.
The company is also preparing to expand its promotional campaign. Early next week, it will release another episode of its “Lifting the Veil” series, featuring members of the game’s Launch Creative Team. CI Games describes the group as an experienced team recruited directly from the soulslike community.
A more substantial marketing push is planned for December 2026. The company will announce the exact release date of Lords of the Fallen II during that month, alongside the start of its main marketing campaign.
