Meccha Chameleon Tops 15 Million Copies Sold In Under A Month

by Ali Haider

Meccha Chameleon has reached another major sales milestone, with developer Lemorion_1224 announcing that the multiplayer indie hit has now sold more than 15 million copies in just under a month since launch. The achievement makes it both the fastest-selling and highest-selling game released this year.

Sharing the announcement on X, Lemorion_1224 said: “《Super Chameleon》 Sales have reached 1,500,000 copies! Thank you so much! Next week, a collaboration with a famous Japanese person will be held.”

Released on Steam for Windows PC on June 10, 2026, Meccha Chameleon quickly became a viral success despite receiving little to no traditional marketing. The game had already passed 10 million copies sold within its first three weeks before climbing to the new milestone.

Meccha Chameleon is a multiplayer hide-and-seek game that supports up to 24 players. Matches split players into Hiders and Hunters, with Hiders painting different parts of their character to match the surrounding environment. They can also change their size, create decoys and choose different poses to help blend into the map, while Hunters search for disguised opponents before time runs out. Hiders can also whistle during a match to taunt Hunters and earn additional points.
