Minecraft Live Action Movie Character Designs Have Allegedly Been Leaked

Alleged character designs from an upcoming live action Minecraft movie have been revealed via the latest leak.

Twitter/X user JoshuaTookes has shared conceptual designs from what appears to be a live action Minecraft movie. Going by their tweet, they’re as surprised by the character art as us. The creeper, sheep and bee rendered character in the first image are accompanied by guidelines for using them on packages.

The character bio for Steve, played by Jack Black, mentions that he has been a resident in the overworld for long enough that he’s crafted a blocky life for himself and made a best friend, his pet wolf Dennis, but then the evil Malgoska captured him. Now his freedom lies in the hands of four fresh visitors to his world.

A live action Minecraft movie with Black Jack playing the character of Steve certainly sounds compelling. If the leak is legitimate, it’s likely to be in early phases of production, which means we probably won’t be getting any official information on it anytime soon.

In other Minecraft related news, Twitter/X user videotechuk_ had recently reported that a native PS5 version of Minecraft has been available for preview with improved visuals. They mentioned that in order to access it, players will need to go through the PS4 version’s settings to redeem and download it. Players will need to access the settings menu in the PS4 version of Minecraft and then head over to the Preview section. There, they will now see the option to get the preview build of the game for both the PS4 and PS5. Selecting the PS5 preview build will take them to the PlayStation Store, where they will be able to redeem the PS5 version.
