Multiple sources have hinted that Nintendo will be holding a Direct presentation later this month on March 26, 2025.
Two insiders, who have a credible track record of leaking Nintendo information, have claimed that the console maker will be holding a Direct presentation on March 26, 2025. The first source is an anonymous Chinese insider (via), who previously leaked almost the entire June, 2024, Direct on Weibo. He now claims that we’ll be seeing a Direct presentation for the original Nintendo Switch in three days on March 26.
The second source is ninspider, the same user who created a drawing of the Nintendo Switch 2 dock and tablet back in October, 2024. A fellow famiboards member asked him if a Nintendo Direct is scheduled for sometime later this month, to which he responded with a wink emoji, hinting that this would indeed be the case.
Game journalist Andy Robinson has also hinted at the possibility of a Nintendo Direct happening later this month. An individual on Blue Sky said that Nintendo made the right call by not having any more Switch Directs before the Switch 2 presentation. As per the latter, the console maker wants people to focus on Switch 2 announcements rather than announcements for the original Switch. Robinson responded to this with an unsure emoji, suggesting that he too believes something Direct-related will arrive before the Nintendo Switch 2 presentation on April 2, 2025.
As for the Nintendo Switch 2 Experience event, many influencers and game industry personnel, including the likes of Shuhei Yoshida and Geoff Keighley, were unable to get chosen to be a part of it. A few got lucky and were able to secure tickets via the wait list after not making it in the initial lottery. Compared to other regions, the event that is to be held in Tokyo, Japan has the most overwhelming demand from Nintendo fans.
