The images appear to confirm the earlier details shared by the insider regarding the Nintendo Switch 2, including the U-shaped kickstand, and the console being more compact than the Steam Deck.
Previously, the same insider had claimed that the Nintendo Switch 2 Joy-Cons will include a “surprise feature” as well as the ability to be detached from the console via a rear button. He also said that the controllers will feature hall effect analog sticks. According to the insider, the unannounced console features a display that is of the same screen size as that of the Steam Deck. They also claimed that Nintendo is planning to launch a special game bundle for the Nintendo Switch 2 that includes a game with a “9” in its name. The first title that comes to mind is a potential Mario Kart 9. Given the massive success of Mario Kart 8, launching the Switch successor alongside its sequel would certainly be a smart move.
The insider expects the Nintendo Switch successor to be announced in January, 2025. As per them, the console’s logo is essentially comprised of a large “2” next to the original logo, and this is in line with the image of the logo seen on the dock.
