Here’s how the home menu screen for the upcoming successor to the Nintendo Switch, the Switch 2, will look.

CentroLeaks, known leaker of Pokemon rumors and news, has shared a screenshot of what they claim is the Nintendo Switch 2 home screen. The main menu looks largely similar to that of the original Nintendo Switch, with some changes in the design and placement of icons.

Going by the above screenshot, the Nintendo Switch 2 main menu doesn’t appear to support themes of any sort, as was the case with the original Switch. The interface has likely been kept as close as possible to that of the prior console in order to facilitate a smooth transition to the new platform.

During the recent Switch 2 Direct presentation, Nintendo shared some of the hardware specs players can expect to take advantage of on the upcoming console. In addition, the console maker reveled that its new hardware will hit store shelves on June 5, 2025. The aforementioned hardware features include 4K and 1440p output resolution, 120 Hz refresh rate, 3D audio, 120 Hz handheld display, HDR handheld display, 256 GB internal storage,, modern SD Express card for storage expansion, both Joy-Cons usable as mouse, and the right Joy-Con C button for social features.

Nintendo has yet to share any details on the specifics of the Nintendo Switch 2 SoC’s CPU and GPU configuration, though it is all but confirmed to be based on the NVIDIA’ T239 chip. Additionally, no information was provided on which upscaling technologies the upcoming console will support. That said, it is likely to support both DLSS and FSR. It is alo unknown whether the 120 Hz handheld display will support Variable Refresh Rate, but it would certainly make sense for it to do so. Furthermore, the official Nintendo website has revealed that the Switch 2 will retail for the price of 449 US Dollars. A Mario Kart World bundle will also be sold for 499 US Dollars.
