A mockup of the Nintendo Switch 2 was recently revealed by gaming accessories manufacturer Genki at CES 2025 and on its official website. Nintendo distanced itself from Genki’s actions, terming the mockup hardware as “unofficial”. The accessories manufacturer had also provided a glimpse of the Joy-Con 2 controllers, highlighting the oft-rumored optical sensor. a mysterious “C button” on the right Joy-Con, and magnetic Joy-Con connectors with a release button mechanism for a more sturdy grip. After the console’s official reveal, it can now be confirmed that Genki’s Nintendo Switch 2 mockup design was entirely accurate.
