The development of the Persona 3 remake as well as Persona 6 is reportedly well underway, and a reveal is planned for both during the summer.
According to Reset Era member Im A Hero Too, who has previously shared information regarding the alleged Persona 3 remake, both the Persona 3 remake and Persona 6 are quite further along in development. Last he had heard, a reveal was planned for both RPGs sometime this summer.
The Reset Era member stated that, with three games in development, he was particularly shocked to see that Atlus kept cancelling and changing the reveal schedule with planned events and the press. He further added that the Persona 3 remake was supposed to have already been shown to the press/public. However, the powers that be at Atlus changed their mind, and the reveal didn’t happen according to prior plans. As of now, both the Persona 3 remake and Persona 6 are set for a reveal during the summer period.
Previously, it was rumored that the Persona 3 remake will offer the same visuals and art style as that of Persona 5 Royal. According to another Reset Era member, who previously leaked the arrival of Persona 3 Portable, Persona 4 Golden, and Persona 5 Royal on Xbox Game Pass last year as well as the release of Taiko no Tatsujin on Xbox months before its official announcement, the reason for the existence of Persona 3 Portable and Persona 4 Golden is because they are relatively low cost ports of PS2 and PSP games.
In their words, porting them over is “easy money”, allowing more prominent titles from the saga to be available on current-gen platforms. Regarding the Persona 3 remake, they said that it will be similar to Persona 5, both in terms of visuals and aesthetics as well as Quality of Life additions. They also hinted at the possibility of content being cut from Persona 3 Portable for the remake, which may not fare well with some fans.
