PlayStation allegedly has multiple major games from first party studios scheduled for release in the year 2025.
According to Reset Era member shinobi602, who is known for his contacts within the game industry, Sony Interactive Entertainment has multiple major titles from PlayStation first party studios in development that are set for release next year in 2025.
The insider clarified that he isn’t referring to titles like Rise of the Ronin, Stellar Blade, which were developed by third-party studios. He currently does not know when Sony Interactive Entertainment is planning to reveal these unannounced titles. He speculated that the console maker may hold another event later in the year in order to announce the aforementioned games. Additionally, he said that he’ll probably get to hear more in this regard sometime later.
Another even from Sony Interactive Entertainment later this year is highly probable, given that it ties in to the rumored existence of a PS5 Pro. It’s likely that the unannounced games shinobi602 referred to are showcase titles for the mid-gen hardware release. The company may be looking to make a bigger splash by revealing a number of first-party titles that support the console’s rumored AI accelerated image reconstruction technology as well as improved ray tracing functionality.
During a recent episode of Game Mess Decides, co-host Jeff Grubb, who is known for his connections in the game industry, had confirmed the validity of a prior specs leak for the PS5 Pro, and also mentioned that the mid-gen console will launch in September, 2024. He said that the PS5 Pro leak is almost certainly real based on what he had heard. He mentioned that current specs are based on a range of possibilities, because Sony hasn’t actually finalized the hardware. He added that the mid-gen console is likely to arrive in later this year in September, 2024.
