Bethesda Softworks and Arkane Studios Austin’s Redfall will support keyboard and mouse on the Xbox Series X|S consoles.
According to the Xbox Store, Redfall will include native keyboard and mouse support on both the Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S versions. Given that it is a first-person shooter that will support PC/console crossplay, mouse and keyboard support would be welcome by the game’s fans.
Previously, it was also confirmed that Redfall will be an online only game, despite also featuring a single-player mode.In an FAQ shared by Bethesda, the publisher had confirmed that the game will only be playable online, despite it offering a single-player mode. This came as a disappointment for those who support game preservation.
According to the FAQ, a persistent online connection is required for both single player and co-op modes in Redfall. A Bethesda.net account will be required in order to play the game. On Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S, players will be required to have an Xbox Live Gold or Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscription in order to play in co-op. The Standard Edition of Redfall will be available day one on Xbox Game Pass.
The FAQ also goes in to detail regarding what’s included in the Bite Back Edition of Redfall. This special edition includes the base game, Redfall Hero Pass, Throwback Outfit Pack, Laser Beam Multi-Weapon Skin and Tactical Knife Stake Weapon Attachment. Those who pre-order the game or play via Game Pass will receive the Vampire Hunter Pack.
Redfall is an upcoming first-person shooter developed by Arkane Studios Austin and published by Bethesda Softworks. The game is set to be released for Microsoft Windows and Xbox Series X/S on May 2, 2023. It is an open world first-person shooter video game that features both single-player and cooperative multiplayer modes. Four playable characters, each with their own backgrounds and skills, are available for players to pick from in order to battle both human and vampire foes.
