Remedy Entertainment has provided an update on its upcoming projects as part of its financial results for the first quarter of 2026, pointing to an active development slate led by Control Resonant. The studio confirmed that the title remains on track for release in 2026, with production progressing steadily and marketing efforts already underway.
Control Resonant is positioned as the company’s primary focus in the near term. Remedy has begun promoting the game through multiple channels, including a gameplay reveal during PlayStation’s State of Play and additional showcases in collaboration with NVIDIA. The studio has also rolled out developer diaries, press previews, and regional campaigns, including outreach in Asian markets and appearances at events such as Gamescom Latam. Internally, Remedy signaled confidence in the project’s reception, describing it as a potential “must-have day-one purchase” while noting that early engagement metrics are meeting expectations.
Alongside its flagship release, Remedy confirmed that the Max Payne 1 and 2 remake, developed in partnership with Rockstar Games, is in full production. The project continues to contribute to the company’s development fee revenue. The studio also revealed that a separate, unannounced title is currently in the proof of concept stage, indicating early development work on a new project.
The company reiterated its broader strategy of building long-term franchises, particularly within the connected worlds of Control and Alan Wake. Remedy emphasized its shift toward self-publishing titles based on its own intellectual property, a move that offers greater control over distribution and marketing while also increasing financial exposure.
Remedy’s existing catalog continues to support its business performance. Control has surpassed six million units sold, benefiting from renewed attention ahead of its sequel. Alan Wake 2 remains a source of royalty income, supported in part by platform availability such as Amazon Luna. Meanwhile, FBC Firebreak has moved into maintenance mode following its final major update and remains accessible through subscription services, including PlayStation Plus and Xbox Game Pass.
Looking ahead, Remedy described 2026 as a key year for the company, with Control Resonant expected to play a central role in testing its evolving publishing strategy and supporting overall revenue growth.
