Sony appears to have quietly increased the pricing for PS Plus Extra and Premium subscriptions alongside the previously announced price hike for the Essential tier in select regions.
According to the updated pricing, a one-month PlayStation Plus Extra subscription now costs £11.99 / $16.99, while the three-month option is priced at £34.99 / $43.99. PlayStation Plus Premium has also seen an increase, with one-month subscriptions now costing £14.99 / $19.99 and three-month plans rising to £43.99 / $54.99.
Annual subscription pricing remains unchanged for now. Sony had already raised yearly PlayStation Plus subscription prices back in 2023.
Earlier, Sony officially confirmed pricing increases for PlayStation Plus subscriptions in select regions starting May 20, 2026. At the time, the company only mentioned changes affecting new customers purchasing one-month and three-month plans for the Essential tier, citing “ongoing market conditions” as the reason for the adjustment.
Under the previously announced pricing structure, one-month Essential subscriptions now start at $10.99 USD, €9.99 EUR, and £7.99 GBP, while three-month plans begin at $27.99 USD, €27.99 EUR, and £21.99 GBP.
Sony also stated that existing subscribers would not be affected unless their memberships lapse or they switch subscription plans. The company added that Turkey and India are exceptions, where existing members may also see pricing changes.
The earlier announcement did not mention any increases for PlayStation Plus Extra or Premium subscriptions, making the newly discovered pricing adjustments appear to have been introduced without a separate public announcement.
