Sony Interactive Entertainment and Naughty Dog’s The Last of Us Part 2 may soon be headed to PS Plus Extra/Premium.
The PlayStation Store has been updated with a new promotional banner for the catalog tiers of PS Plus, in which The Last of Us Part 2 is highlighted alongside Hogwarts Legacy and Horizon Forbidden West. The first two games are currently not available as part of the PS Plus Extra and Premium catalogs. However, Hogwarts Legacy is likely being used as part of the promotion due to it being available as a free trial for PS Plus Premium subscribers. Additionally, Horizon Forbidden West was recently added to the PS Plus Extra catalog.
Given that The Last of Us Part 2 is a Sony first-party title, it’s only a matter of time before the game arrives on the catalog tiers of PS Plus. This promotion indicates that it’ll happen sooner rather than later. Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart was also promoted in a similar manner before being added to the PS Plus Extra catalog the very next month. As such, it’s likely that The Last of Us Part 2 will arrive on the service in October or November.
