Final Fantasy VII Remake Image Recreates Iconic PS1 Box art

Square Enix has shared a new image from Final Fantasy VII Remake that recreates the iconic PS1 box art showing Cloud with Shinra building in the background.

Final Fantasy VII Remake is out on March 3, 2020. It is the first game in a multi-part remake for Final Fantasy VII. Square Enix is not just remaking the full game but also adding a whole lot of new content to it. The game will be directed by Tetsuya Nomura with the original writer, Kazushige Nojima and producer Yoshinori Kitase returning as the leads on this new remake.

The PS1 game had a rather iconic box art that featured Cloud on the cover with the buster sword on his back. Square Enix is planning to show a lot of new footage from the Final Fantasy 7 Remake at Tokyo Game Show and to celebrate this news, they have now shared the iconic box art shot in all-new artwork from the remake.

Square Enix confirmed the release date for the Final Fantasy 7 Remake at E3 2019. They have followed it up with snippets of new information including a playable demo at Gamescom. Final Fantasy 7 Remake will similarly get a lengthy gameplay video at Tokyo Game Show 2019.

Final Fantasy 7 Remake is currently confirmed as an exclusive for the PS4. There have been rumors that it might be a timed exclusive as listing for the Xbox One version have also been found through various retailers, but that hasn’t been the case so far.
