If you fancy buying a new PlayStation 4 console, you can grab a PlayStation Classic with it. Such is the case with a retailer who is offering this option for a limited time.
PlayStation Classic hasn’t managed to do that well compared to its competitors. Nintendo had far more success with their Classic consoles but Sony dropped the ball big time with their own attempt. This has led to retailers offering major discounts or even promotions where they are now giving the console for free.
In Canada, you can grab the PlayStation Classic console for just 30 dollars. It launched with the 130 dollars price and now it is already down to more than half of it.
PS Classic now selling at Costco for a measly 30 bucks Canadian
Remember: this came out 2 months ago TO THE DAY at $130 Canadian
This is easily THE biggest videogaming flop of our generation, bar none. Holy SHIT pic.twitter.com/HyBZbQ1KjR

The other offer is from a retailer based in Kuwait. X-cite by Alghanim Electronics is now offering the PlayStation Classic for free if you get a PlayStation 4 or PlayStation 4 Pro. This offer lets the user pick from either a PlayStation Classic or an extra Dualshock 4 Controller. This offer is valid until March 2nd so there is plenty of time to get it.
It seems like the retailer has a stock surplus of PlayStation Classic consoles and they are just finding new ways to get rid of it. The console faced issues like a lackluster games library, performance problems, and an overall terrible design that didn’t help make it stand out against its competitors. For what it is worth, at least you can mod it to play more classic games so the games library shouldn’t be a big problem.
