Ubisoft’s Assassin’s Creed Hexe will feature a female protagonist as well as a return to the series’ original parkour system, and is planned for a 2027 release, according to a new rumor.
Known Ubisoft insider AgaiinTx took to Twitter/X to share new details regarding Assassin’s Creed Hexe, claiming that it will feature a female protagonist and a parkour system that is close to the one seen in the original titles from the series, describing the latter as “DOUBLE JUMP, Swing, boom dead.” Additionally, according to them, the development team made weird design choices for the NPCs, who allegedly look alien-like with respect to the armor they wear. “Who the f**k [combines a] witch and alien,” they said, suggesting an unlikely aesthetic blend of medieval and futuristic-looking attire.

The insider also shared a vague close-up image of what they termed as a “big boss man” from Assassin’s Creed Hexe, who, according to them, is quite intimidating.
As for a release window, the leaker claimed that Ubisoft is targeting a 2027release for both Assassin’s Creed Hexe and Far Cry 7, with the latter possibly getting revealed later this year in 2026. Recently, they shared an audio leak from the unannounced Far Cry game that contains the constant sound of a clock ticking, hinting at the previously rumored limited time mechanic, where the player will have a finite amount of time to complete the main story.
Last month, fellow insider xj0nathan, who correctly leaked details regarding Assassin’s Creed Mirage prior to its announcement, claimed that, since being put in-charge of the Assassin’s Creed franchise in February, 2026, Jean Guesdon decided to remove all fantasy elements from the Assassin’s Creed Hexe. This includes a feature where players were able to assume control of a cat. According to him, the game’s development will speed up as a result.
