CD Projekt Red had stressed the importance of delaying the game to resolve major issues and polish the gameplay, but it appears they were still short on time because the game doesn’t appear to offer a smooth experience.

In another recent interview, the CEO of CD Projekt Red, Adam Kiciński talked about the critical reception and how it meets their expectations. He also shared some details on the next-generation update that they are planning to release for PS5 and Xbox Series X.

While the game is playable on the PS5 and Xbox Series X, it suffers from its own issues on these consoles. The frame rate runs at an unlocked 60 FPS but it doesn’t always manage to hit that target, while on the Xbox Series X, there is an option to lock at 30 FPS with improved visuals.

Cyberpunk 2077 was released on December 10 for PS4, Xbox One, and PC. It is playable on PS5 and Xbox Series console through backward compatibility.
