Death Stranding hype is in full swing now after the official announcement is set for May 29. This has been followed with multiple teasers for the game which are ambiguous just like any other gameplay trailer.
Death Stranding is the first new game from Hideo Kojima after he left Konami. His last game was Metal Gear Solid V under Konami and after leaving them, he established his own Kojima Productions studio under Sony. The game is currently being developed at Kojima Productions and it still doesn’t have a release date.
Since Sony has announced that they won’t be attending E3 this year, they are shifting their usual announcement out of E3’s time frame and Death Stranding looks more likely to get a new trailer on May 29. Sony has now started to ramp up the marketing for Death Stranding beginning first with a teaser. Hideo Kojima himself was teasing a new trailer for the past few weeks.

After the first teaser, it was immediately followed by another teaser. The first teaser showed a hand imprint with the text “create the rope” while the second one says “help us reconnect” which hints at the teased online functionality for the game.

The official PlayStation Twitch channel has a stream on a loop that is teasing Death Stranding. No one knows when this stream is going to end but fans are hoping to get a glimpse of something new there, and so far it doesn’t appear to be the case.
The game has a star-studded cast with Norman Reedus, Mads Mikkelsen, Léa Seydoux, Lindsay Wagner, Troy Baker, Tommie Earl Jenkins, and Emily O’Brien all taking the role of a character in the game. It will be released exclusively for the PS4 under the publication of Sony Interactive Entertainment.
