Sony has recently confirmed Demon’s Souls as a launch title for PS5, however, there was some confusion on whether the game will launch on other platforms.

Demon’s Souls is confirmed to be a launch game for the PS5. It will be available along with the console on November 12. In the gameplay trailer that was shown during the PS5 event today, it was hinted that the game might be a timed exclusive that will come to PC and other consoles.

Sony has now revealed that this was an error and Demon’s Souls is not coming to any other platform. It will be a PS5 console exclusive that will launch on November 12. Unlike Miles Morales or Horizon Forbidden West, there is no indication of this one coming to PS4 either.

Demon’s Souls is a full remake of the original game that was released for the PS3 by From Software. The remake will be developed by Bluepoint Games who have previously worked on Shadow of the Colossus Remake for PlayStation 4.

To celebrate the announcement of the game’s release date, Sony has also shared a new gameplay trailer as seen below.

In an earlier upload of the trailer, there was a small blip at the end that talked about the game being a timed exclusive and also releasing on other platforms. It was later revealed by Sony that this was a mistake and the game will be available exclusively for the PS5.
