Epic Games has approved the free distribution of Unreal Gold and Unreal Tournament Game of the Year Edition.
It was revealed on the OldUnreal discord server that Epic Games has granted permission for the free distribution of Unreal Gold and Unreal Tournament Game of the Year Edition ISOs on Archive.org. Two installers have been prepped in order to make it easier to setup both games.
OldUnreal currently does not have permission to host the full game on its website. It is, therefore, hosting the installers, which will download the original disc image for Unreal Gold and Unreal Tournament Game of the Year Edition from Archive.org, extract the disc contents into a folder of your choice, and then install the latest public OldUnreal patch. It’s worth noting that the installer supports Windows XP and later versions of the OS. OldUnreal is working on installers for both Linux and macOS.
Below are links to the installers that will automatically download the ISO files for Unreal Gold and Unreal Tournament Game of the Year Edition from Archive.org and install them along with their respective compatibility patches.

For the uninitiated, Unreal Tournament is a first-person arena shooter developed by Epic Games and Digital Extremes. As the second entry in the Unreal series, it was initially published by GT Interactive for Windows in 1999, with subsequent releases on PlayStation 2 and Dreamcast by Infogrames in 2000 and 2001. Players engage in various match types focused on out-scoring opponents. The PC and Dreamcast versions support both online and local area network multiplayer modes. Free expansion packs were released, some of which were included in the 2000 re-release titled Unreal Tournament: Game of the Year Edition.
