Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves Players Discover Method to Remove Ronaldo and Salvatore on PS5

by Ali Haider

A recent discovery has revealed that it is possible to play Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves without the characters Salvatore Ganacci and Cristiano Ronaldo, albeit through a specific method. This finding was first shared by a player on Reddit and later discussed on ResetERA, bringing attention to a quirk in the physical edition of the game.

According to user reports, the PlayStation 5 disc version of Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves does not initially include Salvatore Ganacci or Cristiano Ronaldo. Players who install the game directly from the disc and choose not to download the day-one patch will find that these two controversial characters are missing from the roster. The rest of the game’s content, including the majority of characters and features, remains fully intact without the patch.

This discovery is notable for several reasons. First, it offers players an option to experience the game without two figures whose inclusion has drawn criticism. Cristiano Ronaldo’s presence has been questioned due to his well-documented controversies, while Salvatore Ganacci’s addition has puzzled some players who are unfamiliar with the DJ and question his relevance to the franchise. Although initial reactions were mixed, it appears that player sentiment toward these characters is gradually softening as more people become familiar with their gameplay styles.

It is important to note, however, that choosing to avoid the day-one patch comes with trade-offs. Key features such as the “Episodes from South Town” mode are unavailable without updating. Additionally, players gain access to an early version of the color-edit mode that allows for skin color adjustments, a feature later restricted by the day-one patch.

Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves is currently available on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S. Players interested in learning more about the game’s systems, storylines, and character roster can refer to our full review.
