Rockstar Games has released the GTA Online Kortz Center Heist, introducing a major new robbery centred around Los Santos’ prestigious art museum. The update is available now and brings a new heist, Mansion upgrades, vehicles, gameplay improvements and expanded Creator tools.
The new heist sends players to the Kortz Center, home to a valuable collection of artwork and rare artefacts. Working with professional hustler Raf De Angelis, players must plan and execute a break-in while dealing with security guards, CCTV systems and laser tripwires. The main objective is to steal one of several rotating Primary Targets stored inside the museum’s vault, while optional Secondary Targets can increase the final payout for crews willing to take greater risks.
Unlike previous heists, players can choose to sell the Primary Target or keep it as a display piece inside their Mansion. Hosting the heist requires ownership of the new Art Studio expansion, although players can still join another person’s crew without owning a Mansion themselves. Teams also gain access to additional Secondary Target rooms and can carry away larger hauls than solo players.
The Art Studio also serves as the operation’s headquarters, gradually filling with equipment as preparation missions are completed. Once unlocked, counterfeiter Yong-Rae can produce convincing replicas of stolen artwork to replace the originals, helping conceal the theft. Other Mansion upgrades include an Armory that adds a Mk II weapon to heist loadouts, a Vehicle Workshop for improving getaway vehicles and a Security team that helps reduce Wanted Levels during escapes. Existing properties such as the Bunker, Agency, Terrorbyte, Arcade Drone Station and Darnell Bros. Garment Factory can also provide additional benefits during the finale.
Rockstar has placed a greater emphasis on planning and stealth with the new heist. Spending more time scouting the museum reveals additional entry points, optional preparation missions and disruption opportunities that weaken security or create better escape routes. Some of the most valuable artwork also requires specialised tools before it can be stolen safely.
The update also changes how payouts work. The first Primary Target sold each week now receives a bonus payout, while repeat sales gradually reduce rewards as the market becomes saturated. Rockstar says the same system has also been introduced for The Contract, The Cluckin’ Bell Farm Raid and Oscar Guzman Flies Again to encourage players to rotate between different activities.
Alongside the heist, several new vehicles have joined GTA Online. These include the Benefactor LRC GT, Grotti Cartuccia GT, Albany Merula, Ocelot E-Stride and Benefactor Läufer. GTA+ members receive one week of early access to the Grotti Veleno GT, while 50 additional vehicles now support the Missile Lock-On Jammer upgrade. Players who complete every Tier 4 Career Progress challenge for the Kortz Center Heist on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S or the Enhanced PC version will unlock the Vapid Caracara (Armored).
The update also expands GTA Online’s Mission Creator with new interiors, props, stealth mechanics, disguises, CCTV systems, cutscene improvements and additional tools for building custom missions. Rockstar says more Creator content, including zombies and supernatural-themed assets, will be released later this month ahead of a seasonal Community Mission Series.
To celebrate the update, GTA Online is free to play on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S until July 20, with no PlayStation Plus or Game Pass Essential subscription required. Rockstar also confirmed more content is planned for the coming months, including another supercar, additional drift-capable vehicles and further Community Mission Series updates.
