Nintendo has announced that Mario Kart Tour will end service on September 30, 2026, at 02:00 a.m. The company confirmed the shutdown in a message to players, thanking the community for its support since the mobile game’s launch. No offline version of the game was announced.
In its message, the Mario Kart Tour team said, “Service for the Mario Kart Tour game for smart devices will come to an end as of 09/30/2026 (Wed) 02:00 a.m. We sincerely thank the many players who have loved and supported the game since service began so long ago. Thank you for playing Mario Kart Tour.”
Nintendo will continue to hold special events during every tour until the game’s final day. These include special log-in bonuses offering High-End Level-Boost Tickets, High-End points-cap tickets and rubies, as well as Event Challenges that reward players with golden pipes and other items.
The Spotlight Shop and Mii Racing Suit Shop will also receive permanent price reductions. Drivers in the Spotlight Shop will drop from 150 rubies to 105 rubies, while karts and gliders will be reduced from 100 rubies to 70 rubies. Mii Racing Suits will also be discounted from 100 rubies to 70 rubies.
After the game goes offline, some player records will remain accessible for a limited time. Past Tours’ Stats can be viewed through the in-game menus until January 13, 2027, at 01:59 a.m., while All-Cup Rankings will remain available on the official website until the end of September 2027.
Nintendo also confirmed that an MKT Report reflecting on the game’s history will be published on the official Mario Kart Tour X account at a later date, with more details to be shared in the future.
