Movies or TV series based on the MediEvil and Days Gone IPs are possibly in the works at PlayStation Productions.
PlayStation Productions now has a dedicated website that features a video montage hinting at the possibility of movies and/or TV series based on the MediEvil and Days Gone IPs being in the works.
Twitter user Radec spotted the legs of a certain character in the video who appears to be Sir Daniel Fortesque from MediEvil. Additionally, there is a skeleton hand in the video that also appears to belong to Sir Dan. Two Hollywood writers, namely Ben Mekler and Chris Amick, have since retweeted the post, suggesting their involvement with the project.
Further into the video montage, it’s possible to spot Deacon St. John in the background alongside Nathan Drake, Kratos, and Aloy. A Days Gone movie was previously rumored to be in the works sometime last year, but, as of writing, there hasn’t been any official confirmation from Sony or PlayStation Productions in this regard.
For the uninitiated, Days Gone is a 2019 action adventure game developed by Bend Studio and published by Sony Interactive Entertainment for the PlayStation 4. In May 2021, a Windows version of the game was also made available. The story unfolds in a post-apocalyptic Oregon, where two years have passed since the outbreak of a devastating pandemic that transformed a significant portion of humanity into savage creatures resembling zombies.
The protagonist, Deacon St. John, once an outlaw but now a nomad, embarks on an odyssey to locate his presumed-dead wife, Sarah, who might actually still be alive. This captivating game offers a third-person perspective, allowing players to immerse themselves in an expansive open-world environment. Players wield an assortment of firearms, melee weapons, and improvised tools while employing stealth to safeguard themselves against both hostile human adversaries and flesh eating creatures referred to as Freakers. Deacon’s trusty motorcycle serves as the primary mode of transportation for the player.
