Mortal Kombat 11 Launch Trailer Offers a Glimpse Into Time Traveling Adventure

Mortal Kombat 11 launch trailer has been released today ahead of the release of the game. This launch trailer might contain potential story spoilers so watch at your own risk.

Mortal Kombat 11 is the second game in the series to release this generation after Mortal Kombat X. It will feature a large fighter roster bringing back many fan-favorites. The game is also confirmed for the Nintendo Switch with the first gameplay trailer showcasing some footage from the Nintendo Switch version.

This launch trailer is focused on the story. It is a narrative-heavy game that also brings time travel shenanigans into the mix. The story features Kronika, the Keeper of Time as she tries to rewind time and reboot history. This leads to the different realms and its fighters joining hands together in order to restore balance to the world. You will see both the old generation of fighters coming together with the new generation to help solve this time crisis.

There are around 24 fighters that are confirmed to be a part of the game including Scorpion, Raiden, Sub-Zero, Sonya Blade, Skarlet, Baraka, Geras, Kano, D’Vorah, Kabal, Jade, Johnny Cage, Cassie Cage, Erron Black, Jacqui Briggs, Kotal Kahn, Noob Saibot, Liu Kang, Kung Lao, Jax Briggs, Cetrion, The Kollector, Kitana and Shao Kahn.

Mortal Kombat 11 is all set to launch on April 23, 2019, for the PS4, Xbox One, PC, and Nintendo Switch. It will reportedly use Denuvo DRM on PC. The game has a mandatory download required if you purchase the retail version on Nintendo Switch.
