A brand new PlayStation 5 (PS5) bundle is reportedly on the way, and it will include a pair of DualSense Controllers.

The new PS5 bundle, which comes with two DualSense controllers, already appears to be available at some online retailers. So far, the PlayStation 5 has only been sold along with a single controller. There have been some prior bundles where a game is included to sweeten a deal, but never before has an extra controller been added to the package.

This is said to be an official sales configuration, as the new packaging and product description appears to imply. Additionally, the PS5 console included in this bundle is the console’s latest hardware revision, as indicated by their model numbers CFI-1216A or CFI-1216B.

Both the digital and the standard edition with an optical drive will be available with this new two-controller bundle. Regarding the bundle’s price, as seen in the screenshot above, it is available for 894.95 AUD, which roughly translates to 620 USD. Meanwhile, in Europe, retailers are listing the bundles in the range of 619 and 699 Euros, depending on whether it is the digital or the standard edition.

Previously, it was reported that Sony may be teasing the release of new hardware in relation to the PS5, potentially hinting at a slim iteration of the console in 2023. peaking during an interview, Senior Vice President, Platform Experience at Sony Interactive Entertainment, Hideaki Nishino, stated that, by the end of fiscal year 2022, cumulative sales of the PS5 will exceed 37 million units. He further stated that this will also be a very important period for the platform for other reasons that he wasn’t able to share at this time.

While he didn’t talk about specifics during the interview, Nishino expressed hope that PS5 fans will look forward to next year i.e. 2023, suggesting the possibility of new hardware, likely a slim version of the console.
