SEGA has released updated sales data for several of its biggest franchises, while also highlighting strong early interest in upcoming titles including Persona 6 and Stranger Than Heaven.

The figures were shared as part of SEGA SAMMY’s 2026 Management Meeting, where the company outlined its current business performance and future strategy. Management stated that Entertainment Contents has become the company’s primary growth driver, with revenue expected to reach a record ¥357.0 billion in FY2027/3.

The presentation also included updated lifetime sales figures for many of SEGA’s major releases.

Among the company’s strongest performers is Persona 5 Royal, which has now sold 8.66 million copies worldwide. Sonic Frontiers reached 4.94 million copies, while Team Sonic Racing climbed to 3.5 million units sold.

Other notable sales milestones include:

  • Yakuza: Like a Dragon – 3.12 million
  • Sonic X Shadow Generations – 3.07 million
  • Persona 3 Reload – 2.97 million
  • Sonic Superstars – 2.88 million
  • Metaphor: ReFantazio – 2.46 million
  • Shin Megami Tensei V / Vengeance – 2.44 million
  • Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth – 2.05 million
  • Like a Dragon Gaiden: The Man Who Erased His Name – 1.05 million

Beyond current sales, SEGA pointed to strong momentum behind several upcoming projects.

According to the company, Persona 6 became the most searched game following the Xbox Games Showcase 2026. Management also noted that Persona 4 Revival’s wishlist numbers have already reached levels comparable to Persona 3 Reload shortly before its launch, while the remake became the second most searched game globally after the showcase.

SEGA also singled out Stranger Than Heaven, the next title from Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio. The company said wishlist performance is significantly ahead of Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth at the same stage, and revealed that the game’s trailers generated 115 million views within 14 days, roughly 11 times higher than Infinite Wealth’s comparable marketing performance.

The report paints a positive picture for SEGA’s premium gaming business, with management identifying Sonic, Persona, Like a Dragon, Angry Birds, and Total War as key franchises for future growth. The company also highlighted upcoming releases including Persona 4 Revival, Persona 6, Stranger Than Heaven, Virtua Fighter Crossroads, Alien: Isolation 2, Total War: Warhammer 40,000, Total War: Medieval III, and Crazy Taxi: World Tour.

While SEGA acknowledged ongoing challenges with some free-to-play initiatives and Rovio’s performance, the company signalled a stronger focus on premium games, established franchises, and transmedia expansion as it looks ahead to what it expects will be a record year for its Entertainment Contents division.
