Sony has revealed the games lineup for PS Now subscribers for December 2021. GTA 3 – The Definitive Edition is also included.
The confirmed list of games includes GTA 3 – The Definitive Edition Final Fantasy X|X-2 HD Remaster, John Wick Hex, and Spitlings.
GTA 3 – The Definitive Edition has faced a lot of criticism over its terrible launch along with GTA: The Trilogy collection. These games have been reportedly full of bugs and performance issues on the last and current-generation consoles.
Sony is also planning to launch their new subscription service that will replace PS Now according to a new report. This will offer three tiers of subscription beginning with a PS Plus subscription at tier 1 to legacy PlayStation games at tier 3. This is internally codenamed, Spartacus.
PS Now is a monthly subscription service that can be considered a competitor to Microsoft’s Xbox Game Pass. The difference is that PS Now is limited to just PS4 games for download while all the legacy consoles like PS1, PS2, and PS3 are streamed on the service unlike Xbox Game Pass, which offers the option to download every game available on it.
Microsoft also releases all of their major games on Xbox Game Pass on day one while Sony hasn’t done this for their first-party games. They do bring these games to PS Now but it only happens after more than a year of the game’s launch like seen with The Last of Us Part 2.
