The PS5 is one of the most successful consoles released by Sony. Despite lagging behind the PS4 in overall sales, primarily due to stock issues during the COVID pandemic, it continues to perform well worldwide. As things have started to normalize, stock issues are becoming a thing of the past, allowing Sony to push the console, improve its sales, and catch up with the PS4.

Sony also recently released PSVR 2, aiming to provide unique software for PS5 users. Despite its high price tag, the headset managed to sell more than 600K units during its debut month.

Sony plans to launch some major exclusives for the PS5, including Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 and Final Fantasy XVI, later this year. Among other exclusives, they are teaming up with some third-party publishers like Square Enix to boost the overall catalog for their console. They are also backing up new studios to provide more live-service games.
