Team NINJA made headlines today by launching the remastered NINJA GAIDEN 2 Black and announcing exciting news about the future of the NINJA GAIDEN franchise. The remastered version is now available on Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5, and PC. Fans can enjoy the action-packed adventures of Ryu Hayabusa with enhanced visuals and improved gameplay. They can also look forward to NINJA GAIDEN 4, set to release later this year.
First released in 2008, NINJA GAIDEN 2 Black became known for its intense combat and challenging gameplay. The remastered version, built on Unreal Engine 5, offers significant graphical enhancements, including redesigned character models, improved lighting, and detailed environments. Players will once again take on the role of Ryu Hayabusa, as he battles various enemies with the Dragon Sword. The remaster also features advanced gore mechanics and remastered dismemberment effects, with an option to toggle these features.
The remaster includes content from spin-off titles, allowing players to play as Momiji, Ayane, and Rachel. The HERO PLAY STYLE offers automatic support in tough situations, making the game more accessible without losing its intensity.
NINJA GAIDEN 2 Black is available digitally on Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5, and PC via Steam and Microsoft Store. It is also accessible through Game Pass on console, PC, and cloud.
Team NINJA also announced that NINJA GAIDEN 4 is in development and will be released later this year. The new installment introduces Yakumo, a young ninja whose journey intertwines with Ryu Hayabusa. This marks a new chapter in the franchise, promising exciting action, new gameplay elements, and a fresh protagonist.

Ninja Gaiden 4 will be released for PC, PS5, and Xbox Series S|X in Fall 2025. It is also confirmed to debut on Xbox Game Pass Ultimate.
