Tekken 8 Update 1.12.01 Out Now With New Fight Pass, Maid Outfit Pack & Expanded Tournament Settings

Tekken 8 Update 1.12.01 is out today for PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X/S bringing several changes and bug fixes to the game. Key additions include the new “TEKKEN FIGHT PASS – SPECIAL ROUND” commemorating the series’ 30th anniversary, along with the new Maid Outfit Pack and exclusive Tekken Special Deals available in the Tekken Shop. Note that replay data from before this update will be reset, as online replays and saved tips become unavailable during maintenance.

This update also focuses on customization and competitive play, with expanded Tournament Settings that let you fine-tune match rules and interface options for a more personalized experience. The Ranked Match matchmaking system has been adjusted to reduce consecutive match failures, and future balance tweaks for playable characters have been postponed in light of upcoming tournaments and Season 2 updates.

• TEKKEN SHOP:

  • TEKKEN FIGHT PASS – SPECIAL ROUND:
    • Celebrates the 30th anniversary of the Tekken series.
    • Complete missions to level up and earn various items.
    • Available in both “FREE” (up to 100 TEKKEN COINS) and “PREMIUM” (up to an additional 300 TEKKEN COINS, totaling 400) versions.
  • Maid Outfit Pack:
    • Includes Maid Outfit (Upper Body), Maid Shoes (Knee-High Socks), Maid Headdress (Accessory), and Heart Eyes (Eyes).
  • TEKKEN SPECIAL DEAL:
    • Selected items available at special prices during the event period.

• TEKKEN FIGHT LOUNGE:

  • Special Ghosts:
    • 5 special ghosts appear with obtainable character panels (fan art from the “TEKKEN FANDOM Campaign”).
    • Defeat them to collect character panels.
    • Special ghosts will appear until the next update (scheduled for March) when they will be replaced.
  • Standardization of NPC Interaction:
    • NPC interaction features (e.g., replay and customization options) in the lounge have been standardized across all areas.

• OPTIONS:

  • Tournament Settings Feature Expansion:
    • When “Tournament Settings” is set to “ON,” individual settings can now be customized via “Tournament Settings Content.”
    • Selecting “Preset” applies the same settings as in v1.11.00 if individual items are not configured.
  • Configurable Items Include:
    • “Fixed Rule” (First to 3 rounds, 60 seconds)
    • “Disable Pause Menu” (set to “ON” or “Hold” for long press)
    • “Show Confirmation Pop-Up for Rematches”
    • “Hide Win Streak”
    • “Disable Intro/Outro Skipping”
    • “Rematch with Random Stage” option available on the result screen
    • “Hide Button Help During Matches”

• RANKED MATCH:

  • Matchmaking System Adjustments:
    • Adjusted to reduce the likelihood of consecutive matches with players where the previous match failed to establish.

• PLAYABLE CHARACTERS:

  • Future Balance Adjustments Postponed:
    • Balance adjustments have been postponed in v1.12.01 due to upcoming major official tournaments in Europe and Japan.
    • No balance adjustments will be implemented in v1.13 (scheduled for mid-March) to accommodate the planned “Season 2” update.
