Persona Series Has Sold 10 Million Copies Worldwide

Persona is continuing its successful run all over the world. It launched to new heights with the release of P55 which was released for PS4 in 2017.

Persona is one of the longest and most successful series for Atlus. It is a spin-off from the Shin Megami Tensei brand but somehow has gained more success thanks to its high-school setting and quality games. There are five mainline Persona games in addition to several other spin-offs and all of these combined have no sold 10 million copies.

This new sales update was shared by Atlus on their official website. They are working on Persona 5 Royal fro the PS4 and Persona 5: Scramble for PS4 and Nintendo Switch. Rumors also point towards a new Persona fighting game which is in development but it hasn’t been officially announced yet.

Atlus has just announced a release window for P5 Royal in the Western market. The game is expected to arrive in English during Spring 2020. It will be out this September in Japan for the PS4. While Atlus has no plans to bring the game to PC, emulation has made it possible to play the original P5 in 4K and 60 FPS.
