PS5 Media Event Set For June 4 To Showcase Future of Gaming

Sony is holding an event on June 4 to showcase the future of gaming on the PlayStation 5. This event will give the fans their first look at the PS5 games.

Sony has gradually revealed new information on its next-generation console. They have already confirmed the technical specifications and detailed the new controller for the PS5. They haven’t shown any of the upcoming games for it but that is expected to change soon after the announcement of a media event on June 4.

The official PlayStation Blog has been updated with details for a media event that is scheduled for June 4. It will give the fans their first look at the games that are coming for the PlayStation 5 when it launches later in Holiday 2020.

Jim Ryan, President & CEO, Sony Interactive Entertainment, talked about this event in detail hinting that both first-party and third-party games will be showcased during this media event.

“We’ve shared technical specifications and shown you the new DualSense wireless controller. But what is a launch without games?” said Jim Ryan.

“That’s why I’m excited to share that we will soon give you a first look at the games you’ll be playing after PlayStation 5 launches this holiday. The games coming to PS5 represent the best in the industry from innovative studios that span the globe. Studios, both larger and smaller, those newer and those more established, all have been hard at work developing games that will showcase the potential of the hardware.”

This event will reportedly run for one hour and it is part of a series of updates that are focused around the PS5. In the lead up to the launch of the PlayStation 5, Sony will share more details on the console including its design and the price. Both Sony and Microsoft haven’t disclosed a price for their next-generation consoles.
