Sony has delayed the Uncharted movie again pushing it back three months. The movie has been delayed numerous times by now, also changing multiple directors.
Uncharted is getting a full-length movie from Sony Pictures. This movie will star Tom Holland and Mark Wahlberg in the lead role. It has been credited with numerous directors but most of them ended up leaving the production. The latest director to leaving his position was Travis Knight. Rumors are swirling that his replacement will be Venom director Ruben Fleischer.

According to a report from The Hollywood Reporter, the Uncharted movie has shifted release date and will now launch on March 5, 2021. This release date puts the movie three months ahead of its initial launch date.
Uncharted is one of the most popular video game franchises for Sony and they have been trying to get a video game adaption out for a while now. The movie was initially announced with Mark Wahlberg attached to play Nathan Drake but the focus shifted to a more younger Nathan Drake when Tom Holland joined the cast. Mark Wahlberg is still attached to the movie and is reportedly starring as Sully now.

Sony Pictures had a rather good year in 2019 with Jumanji 3, Venom, Little Women, Spider-Man: Far From Home, and Once Upon a Time… In Hollywood all becoming a major success for them. They are hoping to continue this in 2020 with several new movies planned to launch later this year.
