ATLUS Unveils New Trailer for Metaphor: ReFantazio at Anime Expo 2024

During the Anime Expo 2024, ATLUS showcased a new trailer for their highly anticipated fantasy RPG, Metaphor: ReFantazio. The trailer reveals a captivating glimpse into the game’s narrative and sets the stage for the player’s journey. The “Metaphor: ReFantazio – Story Trailer” is now available for viewing, offering fans an early look at the game’s richly woven storyline.

Director Katsura Hashino and Character Designer Shigenori Soejima shared exciting details about the game’s setting, characters, and the diverse array of monsters during the Anime Expo panel. For those who couldn’t attend in person, ATLUS will host a special “ATLUS Exclusive” Showcase – Story live stream today, providing a recap of the panel’s highlights and additional game details.

Metaphor: ReFantazio is scheduled for release on October 11, 2024, across multiple platforms, including Xbox Series X|S, Windows, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, and Steam. Pre-orders will come with exclusive in-game item sets to aid players on their journey.

The game, developed by the creative minds behind Persona 3, 4, and 5, immerses players in a unique fantasy world where they will accompany their fairy companion, Gallica, on a quest to lift the curse from the kingdom’s lost prince. The central theme emphasizes controlling one’s destiny, confronting fears, and awakening magical “Archetype” powers. These powers enable players to channel and combine abilities from unique job classes, further enhancing their party’s strength and versatility.

Key features of Metaphor: ReFantazio includes engaging in quests, dungeon diving, and treasure hunting, exploring an expansive world with captivating music and anime cutscenes, a unique battle system that blends turn-based and real-time action, and delving into a mysterious and thrilling story.

The game requires a 64-bit processor and operating system, with minimum specifications including Windows 10, an Intel Core i5-3570K or AMD FX-8350 processor, 6 GB of RAM, and a graphics card like the NVIDIA GeForce GTX 750 with 4 GB VRAM. For an optimal experience, the recommended specs include an Intel Core i5-6600 or AMD Ryzen 5 1500X processor, 8 GB of RAM, and a more powerful graphics card such as the NVIDIA GeForce GTX 970 with 4 GB VRAM. Both minimum and recommended setups require DirectX 11 and 90 GB of available storage.
