Battlefield 2042 might have been delayed but it has not stopped some retailers like Amazon to send out beta codes for those who had pre-ordered it.
Reports are emerging of people getting the beta codes for BF 2042. This is despite there being no announcement of a beta test taking place. It was originally intended to take place on September 23 and Amazon still has listed the same on their website.
“Pre-Order Battlefield 2042 for PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 by September 23rd, 2021 to unlock early access to the Battlefield 2042 Open Beta. Must be shipped and sold by Amazon. Codes will be sent within 24 hours of early access start date, ” reads the BF 2042 listing on Amazon.
Earlier, we had some rumors suggesting that BF 2042 will be delayed while the beta will still go ahead. This didn’t turn out to be the case, while the game was delayed, the beta test is nowhere to be seen.
The game was originally set to launch in October, but it has been pushed to November ahead of the Call of Duty Vanguard and behind Halo Infinite. November will see the launch of Call of Duty Vanguard and BF 2042, which are two of the biggest FPS in the market.
If you have received these codes, chances are they will be useless until an official confirmation arrives from EA DICE. The game is currently set to launch on November 19, 2021, for the PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series, and PC.
