Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War Officially Announced

Call of Duty: Black Ops series is continuing with the Cold War, which is a direct sequel to Black Ops 1. Here’s what you need to know about this sequel.

Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War will release on November 13. It is being developed by Treyarch and Raven Software. The story takes place after the events of Black Ops 1. Players will be reunited with legendary operatives Alex Mason, Frank Woods, and Jason Hudson as them team up to solve a conspiracy. There will be a new cast of characters and some threats from the past will emerge. This is a high-stakes mission with devasting global implications.

There is an upgrade available for PS5 and Xbox Series X but it is slightly expensive than the Standard version and will cost $9.99 more to upgrade. Players can either opt to get the Standard edition or enjoy the benefits of the full next-generation upgrade with the PS5 and Xbox Series X bundle that will cost $69.99.

It’s 1981 and a global threat is looming at the height of the Cold War. As the world rests on the brink of nuclear conflict, a newly-formed team of CIA operatives will engage in a series of deniable operations and covert spycraft to prevent an unimaginable disaster.

The single-player Campaign experience led by Raven Software arms players with an array of badass munitions, including fan-favorite classic firearms and prototypical weaponry from the Cold War era. The race is on to discover the truth and battle through mindbending twists and turns that only Black Ops can deliver.

The game will feature cross-play and cross-generation support between PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, Steam, and Battle.Net. It is bringing back the Battle Pass system and Activision is promising massive support with free post-launch content and updates.

Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War will be out on November 13 for PS4, Xbox One, and PC. It is scheduled to launch for PS5 and Xbox Series X later this year.
