Over 50% of the development teams at CD Projekt are now busy working on new projects, particularly the next Witcher game. Other games in development include Project Sirius, which is being developed by The Molasses Flood, GWENT related projects, The Witcher: Monster Slayer, which is being developed by SPOKKO, and other unannounced projects, which includes the research phase of Project Polaris.

Additionally, CD Projekt CEO Adam Kiciński stated that it has intensifying promotional activities ahead of the release of Cyberpunk 2077: Phantom Liberty. One of those activities is the ongoing Phantom Liberty Tour – a series of community events where gamers can personally experience the expansion before it is launched.

Positive reactions from gamers and media representatives alike has given optimism to the development team, and Kiciński believes that a successful launch of the expansion will once again reaffirm the potential of the Cyberpunk franchise.

Earlier in May, 2023, the company announced that The Witcher trilogy had sold over 75 million units, with The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt accounting for over 50 million copies sold across the world.

Cyberpunk 2077: Phantom Liberty is slated for release on September 26, 2023 for PC, Xbox Series X/S, and PlayStation 5. It stands as the sole planned expansion for the game. A trailer unveiled during The Game Awards 2022 introduced Idris Elba’s involvement. During the 2023 Xbox showcase at the Summer Game Fest, a new trailer revealed details regarding new additions brought forth by the expansion, including interactive car chases with vehicular combat, revised level and progression systems, and the ability of equipped cyberware to induce a “cyberpsycho” state.
