Capcom has shared plans for their post-launch support for Dragon’s Dogma 2 including confirming a 30 FPS limit for PS5 and Xbox Series S|X.
The updates for all platforms focus on functional and quality-of-life improvements. Notably, the option to start a new game when save data already exists is a significant feature, catering to players who wish to start fresh without overwriting their existing progress. Additionally, the expansion of “Art of Metamorphosis” items available at Pawn Guilds has increased to 99, providing players with more character customization options. Acquiring personal dwellings is now accessible earlier in the game. Miscellaneous text and bug fixes have also been implemented to improve the player’s experience by rectifying minor errors and glitches.
Exclusive to PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S, the updates focus on graphical and performance options. The inclusion of toggles for Motion Blur and Ray Tracing in the options menu. Players can now adjust Frame Rate settings to either Variable or a Max of 30fps, prioritizing either visual fluidity or stability.
The PC version is also getting some improvements. While it won’t get the DLSS 3 support with the next planned update, Capcom will fix the issues with the DLSS Quality mode for Nvidia users. Other changes include a fix that addresses an issue with the models appearing low-quality under certain settings.
