Fortnite update version 2.68 was released today by Epic. It is a hotfix update patching the game to version 12.41. Here’s what you need to know about it.

Fortnite continues to get weekly updates from Epic Games. These updates add new content like skins, rotate weekly challenges, and fix important issues with the game. There are two different gameplay modes in Fortnite, one is less popular than the other.

Save the World is a tower defense multiplayer game while Battle Royale is a completely different free-to-play mode using the same Unreal Engine 4. Epic Games has also implemented a new Creative mode and has a separate fork going on for the mobile version of the game.

The official update version for this new patch is 12.41. This update is roughly under 2 GB on the PS4, Xbox One, PC, and Nintendo Switch.

Here is a list of all the bugs that have been confirmed as fixed in Fortnite update 2.68. The patch notes can be seen below along with details on the bugs that were fixed.

General

  • Midas’ Golden Touch appearing in low resolution on weapon Wraps.

Battle Royale

  • UI disappears if cancelling Ready Up while spectating.

Creative

  • Double-clicking item in the Chest tab may cause the game to crash.

Mobile

  • Loading into “My Island” in Creative mode may cause Fortnite to freeze.

Fortnite Battle Royale is a free-to-play version of the base game that is available on almost every platform. This update is applicable to every version of the game including the Battle Royale, Creative, and Save The World gameplay mode.
