The release of the PS4 and Xbox One versions of Dragami Games’ upcoming action adventure hack-and-slash game, Lollipop Chainsaw RePOP, is set for November, 2024.
It has been revealed that the PS4 and Xbox One versions of Lollipop Chainsaw RePOP will be available in November, 2024, for the price of 44,99 US Dollars. This is shortly after the release of the PS5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch, and PC versions of the game on September 12, 2024.
Earlier in July, 2024, Yoshimi Yasuda, game designer at Dragami Games, mentioned that the studio had received requests from many fans regarding a PS4 version of Lollipop Chainsaw RePOP ever since the game’s official announcement. Back then, he asked fans to look forward to an announcement in this regard as soon as its schedule was finalized. We now have the release schedule of the previous-gen versions, and it’s good to see that the delay period isn’t significant.
Given how Lollipop Chainsaw RePOP is more of a remaster rather than a full blown remake, it’s likely that the PS4 will retain most of the bell and whistles found in the PS5 version. For those wondering what kind of improvements can be expected in Lollipop Chainsaw RePOP over the original, the game features improved texture work, improved shadows, more detailed character models and environments, depth of field and other post-process effects. Fans of the original can, therefore, expect much of the original experience to be preserved, though with some worthwhile audiovisual enhancements and gameplay refinements.
Previously, Yoshimi Yasuda, Game Designer at Dragami Games, took to Twitter/X to reveal that Lollipop Chainsaw RePOP will retain the English voice cast from the original game. The main character was originally voiced by Tara Strong in English and by both Eri Kitamura in the PlayStation 3 version and Yoko Hikasa in the Xbox version in Japanese.
