CI Games’ action role-playing game, Lords of the Fallen, and tactical stealth shooter, Sniper Ghost Warrior Contracts 2, are headed to Xbox Game Pass later this year in 2024.
According to a new agreement between Microsoft and CI Games, the latter will bring Lords of the Fallen and Sniper Ghost Warrior Contracts 2 to the former’s premium game subscription service, Xbox Game Pass later this year in 2024.
The Management Board of CI Games based in Warsaw informed that the agreement between both the company and Microsoft Corporation concluded on May 3, 2024, as per which two titles from its portfolio, namely Lords of the Fallen and Sniper Ghost Warrior Contracts 2, will be made available on Xbox Game Pass in 2024. Details regarding the schedule of availability of either game have not yet been revealed by CI Games or Microsoft.
It makes sense for Microsoft to approach CI Games for the availability of both games on Xbox Game Pass, as their sales potential has likely peaked. As such, CI Games was likely looking to make some extra money on Lords of the Fallen and Sniper Ghost Warrior Contracts 2, and Xbox Game Pass was likely a good opportunity in this regard. It was not revealed whether the company had also been approached by Sony Interactive Entertainment for the likelihood of both games appearing on the PS Plus Extra tier catalog.
Previously, in a press release regarding its consolidated quarterly report for Q3 2023, CI Games president Marek Tymiński had shared that the company’s goal with Lords of the Fallen was to achieve $100 million in revenue in the next few years, and he had pointed out that PlayStation was, at the time, the game’s biggest platform in terms of sales. He also mentioned that that the conversion rate of Steam users who went from adding Lords of the Fallen to their wish list to making the purchase was approximately 10%.
