Call of Duty: Modern Warfare had a terrible launch on PC. One of the major issues regarding stuttering in cutscenes on PC is fixed now.
The PC launch of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare was plagued with bugs from hard game crashes to stuttering in cutscenes which weren’t fixed until today with an update. Infinity Ward has confirmed that they have patched the PC version to implement a couple of fixes. The most important one is the confirmation that cutscenes will no longer stutter on PC.
Here are the patch notes for this new Call of Duty: Modern Warfare update which was shared by Infinity Ward.
PC Update – 11/15/19
- Implemented fixes to prevent stuttering/hitching during cutscenes; if you still experience this, please let us know
- Overall stability improvements, including a fix for Dev Error 6178
If you were annoyed by this stuttering issue, it should be resolved by now. Make sure that you have the latest update for the game installed in order to get the bug fix for the stuttering cutscenes.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare is also continuing to get new updates on PS4 and Xbox One. Infinity Ward will add new maps for free with content updates to the game. They are also actively working on fixing any bugs that end up causing a problem in the game. As more players are experiencing Modern Warfare, they are also working on adjusting game balance among other changes.
