Monster Hunter World Iceborne is getting a new beta test but this time it will be available for both PS4 and Xbox One. Here’s how you can access it on your platform.
This is not the first time Capcom is testing the game. They had earlier conducted a private and then public beta test but it was limited to PS4 users only, and those with a PS Plus subscription. This new beta test is launching within days of the full game release and it seems to target both PS4 and Xbox One.

According to Capcom, this beta test will include a new monster, Velkhana. This is in addition to the previous three monsters from the old beta test. To refresh your memory, they were Great Jagras, Banbaro, and Tigrex.
How To Download Monster Hunter World Iceborne Beta For PS4 and Xbox One
Capcom has put up an official page that details the requirements and timing for the Monster Hunter World Iceborne beta test. Here’s when you can download and play it on PS4 or Xbox One.
- Timing: 12 a.m. August 30 – 11:59 p.m. September 1 (PDT)
- Availability: Anyone with a PlayStation®4 or Xbox One and internet access to PlayStation™Network or Xbox Live can participate!
This beta test won’t be available on PC since it is launching at a later date. Capcom had announced the PC version release date separately from the console version. The game has been a massive success for Capcom so far.
You can play the full Iceborne expansion on September 3rd for PS4 and Xbox One. It will be available to purchase for $40. Additionally, you can also grab the full game with the expansion for $60.
