Here Are All The Nintendo Direct February 2019 Exclusive Game Announcements and Trailers

Nintendo has dropped a new Nintendo Direct on February 14. Here are all the new game announcements that they have made along with trailers for them so you can find out all of the information in one place.

This Nintendo Direct was leaked earlier and some of the games were listed. As it happens, today covered these game announcements confirming that the earlier rumor was indeed correct, even if the same didn’t happen in January.

The two major highlights of the Nintendo Direct were The Legend of Zelda: Link’s Awakening and Astral Chain. The first one is a complete remake of the game boy original adventure featuring Link. It will be remade with new visuals and released exclusively for the Nintendo Switch in 2019.

The second game is from Platinum Games who are also working on Bayonetta 3 for the Nintendo Switch. They are apparently making this new game as well, which is from the main designer of Nier Automata. It will be supervised by Hideki Kamiya.

Other announcements included Dragon Quest XI S: Echoes of an Elusive Age for the Nintendo Switch that comes with dual audio, Orchestrated Soundtrack, and new story events. It will be out this year but there was no release date given for it.

Some of the minor announcements were released to game updates. Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker is getting a free update adding co-op while there will be a brand new extra DLC that adds new levels and challenges to the game.

The other game update is for Super Smash Bros. Ultimate which has been updated to version 3.0.0. It will receive the Joker from Persona 5 DLC in April.

Super Mario Maker 2 was the opening reveal for the Nintendo Direct today and it brings back the level maker for Mario platformers to the Nintendo Switch. There will be new features added in the sequel that should help in making more expansive and complex levels to the game.

Rune Factory 4 is getting remastered for the Nintendo Switch while a brand new Rune Factory 5 is also announced with no mention of a release year. Rune Factory 4 Special is the name of this remaster which will be out for the Nintendo Switch this year.

Lastly, Fire Emblem: Three Houses received a lot of new details and a confirmed release date. We learned about the three houses that are a core part of the story. There will be new gameplay mechanics, brand new characters, and the game is now launching on July 26 exclusively for the Nintendo Switch.

This covers almost every exclusive game that was announced or revealed at the Nintendo Direct. The minor announcements include a Box Boy and Box Girl game that is releasing soon. Dead by Daylight and Assassin’s Creed 3 Remastered ports for the Nintendo Switch.
